EIKEN 3 - Step 3: Daily Routines (Morning Habits, Weekends, Free Time)
In this lesson, students will explore the topic of daily routines, focusing on morning habits, weekend activities, and free time. Students will practice reading, listening, and speaking tasks related to everyday life, a key area in the EIKEN Grade 3 test. They will learn useful vocabulary and sentence structures for describing what they do regularly, as well as how to give short, clear answers to personal questions (e.g., What do you usually do on weekends?).
The lesson begins with a warm-up to activate background knowledge, followed by a vocabulary section that introduces essential words and expressions for daily routines. Grammar tips will highlight the use of the present simple tense (I get up at 7 o’clock. / She plays soccer on Sundays.) and frequency adverbs (always, usually, sometimes, never). Students will then practice through short reading comprehension activities and structured speaking tasks modeled after the EIKEN interview.
By the end of the lesson, students will feel more confident talking about their daily life and answering questions naturally in English. This lesson builds both test preparation skills and real communication ability, giving students the tools they need for success in the EIKEN Grade 3 exam and in daily conversations.
