In this EIKEN Grade 3 lesson, students learn how to talk about their favorite place in simple, clear English. Using familiar locations such as home, a park, a city, or a country, learners practice expressing likes, giving basic reasons, and describing places using common adjectives.

The lesson focuses on building confidence in short sentences that are useful for EIKEN Grade 3 speaking and writing tasks. Students will practice key vocabulary related to places, simple descriptive words, and basic sentence patterns such as “My favorite place is … because …”.

Through guided reading, controlled practice, and short speaking activities, students develop the ability to answer common EIKEN-style questions about places they like. By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to describe their favorite place using 2–3 connected sentences in a natural and understandable way, preparing them for both the interview and writing sections of the EIKEN Grade 3 exam.
